Privacy, chalked on the tally slate

Chalked against your rafter peg

What is chalkedWhy Wimble chalks itWhen the chalk comes off
NicknameWhat the toys call you on the benchUntil you unhook your account
Email addressPicking out your account on the slate when you log inUntil you unhook your account
Password hashChecking your login without the plain password ever touching the slateUntil you unhook your account
Sign-up dateAnswering support notes, and stopping anyone who misuses the atticUntil you unhook your account

The slate ends there. Your real name, your address, your date of birth, your phone number and every kind of payment detail are never asked for; the attic sells nothing, so Wimble has no use for them. Your password reaches us only as a one-way hash. Lawful basis: performance of a contract (running the account you asked for). Deleting your account wipes every line of it at once, and the button for that sits on your account page.

Kept in a jar in your own browser

What is chalkedWhat the jar is forWhen the chalk comes off
Coins, level, missions and every toy’s dialsWinding on from your last spinUntil you empty this browser’s site data
Age confirmationSpares you the banner question on each new pageUntil you empty this browser’s site data

Everything in this jar stays on your device, and none of it travels up to us.

Google tags, wound up only with your consent

Choose “Accept all” and Google Analytics and Google Ads tags start measuring visits, and whether our adverts bring people to play, a first spin being one example. Google then receives your IP address, device information and those events. Choose “Essential only” and the same tags stay in consent mode, without cookies and without advertising identifiers. Lawful basis: consent.

Request logs from our web host

Our web host jots down standard request logs for security and clears them after a short spell. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Lines Wimble will never chalk

  • Payment data, ever. The attic has nothing to buy.
  • Marketing email, unless you have written to request it.
  • A sale or rental of your data, to anybody at all.
  • Hand-offs to gambling operators, or gambling affiliate links.

What you can ask Wimble to do with the slate

You may access, correct, erase or restrict what we hold, object to processing, or withdraw consent, at any hour. Deleting your account on the account page clears the account data straight away; clearing this site’s data in your browser sweeps up whatever is left. Complaints may be taken to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

A free social casino in a mouse inventor’s attic, and not one turn of the key is real-money gambling.

Windup Attic is a workshop for grown-ups aged 19 or over. Every wind-up toy runs on virtual coins of no monetary value, and those coins cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged. Rummage through every parts drawer and you will turn up no coin shop and no payment page; Wimble hands out no prizes of real-world value, and success here does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
